Halloween Reading

I don't think I have ever celebrated Halloween like I have this year. It seems like a month long holiday and we've never had so much fun. Besides are outings we've done a few things at home. I found a couple Halloween books from when I was a kid and then bought four more to share with the kids. These two are our favorite and they are so perfect since letters and their sounds, plus counting is part of the curriculum at preschool.
Each letter of the alphabet stands for something having to do with Halloween. I have Matthew or Sarah tell me the name of the letter and guess what it stands for from the picture. The illustrations are really cute.

This books is done in the "five little Monkeys bouncing on the bed theme."One keeps disappearing after a with moves in until there are no more left. Sarah likes to try to find the ghosts that are left in the picture after each one takes off. They've been great for bedtime.

  1. Pretty good post. I just came across your site and wanted to say that I have truly loved reading through your blog posts. Any ways I’m going to be subscribing for your feed and I hope you post again soon. I would definitely use these books for my kindergartener.
