Our friends the Gilbert's moved away last fall and the twins have been missing their buddy Jackson ever since. We've been able to meet up a couple times but we wanted a prolong visit to hang out and have fun. Kaari, w/Blakely and myself with my brood headed up to Sacramento two weeks ago.
After the long drive, it was quiet time with some Curious George.
Then we were ready to enjoy the gorgeous hot weather in the Gilbert's back yard. This is just half the yard. A kid's (and parent's) dream for play. Obviously a yard this size is not in the Bay Area.
The cute playhouse and path that encircles the yard.
The next morning we headed to Fairytale Town. This place is adorable and the kids were in heaven seeing and playing on all the attractions.
First we hung out on King Arthur's throne.
Then time to see the Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe.
Time for a quick drink.
Up to Owl's house to check out the view.
And then we came down the slide.
We met Eeyore,
Billy Goat Gruff,
and the Three Little Pigs.
After lunch in Sherwood Forest with Robin Hood and his Merry Men,
we checked out Cinderella's pumpkin coach.
"Hey Braden, will you be my Prince Charming?"
Jackson!!
Matthew drove the Little Engine That Could. This is one his favorite books right now.
The "Cheese Stands Alone" with my three little mice.
Hanging Out with Peter Rabbit.
Our last stop was Captain Hook's Pirate Ship. I realized there were a bunch of other attractions where I didn't get pictures. This place has been there since 1959. I can see why kids love it.
Continuing our day-o-fun, we crossed the street to Funderland, a kiddie amusement park.
Kaari and Blakely on the Red Baron.
Matthew would of been happy to ride this for the rest of the day.
Chelsea and Peyton on the train.
Sarah kicked me off the log ride and insisted she and Jackson go alone. She was trying to make her move and convince him a long distance relationship was worth it.
I think we rode the cars five or six times.
After dropping off the Gilberts, we started the long drive home. Sarah spent the first 30 minutes crying that she missed Jackson. I think she is smitten.

Love the post!!! You took such great pics. I am blogging it up this wknd. It really was a magical visit. Jackson has been asking for the twind and "whats his name?" Brayden, ever since.. And "whats her name?" Blakely ever since. Yesterday he asked for miss kristine. Love love
