Mom-1, Sarah-0

This baby has solved our little escape artist problem. Sarah can no longer work her shoulders out of the car seat. For $4.99 (which we all know cost $.03 to make in China), I'm laughing all the way to the park as she pouts. Thanks Anne B. for the suggestion!

Hot, Hot, Hot!

We are having our summer weather this week with hot temperatures. It's just in time for all my Halloween decorations that I've unpacked. So what to do to pass the time and stay cool?

Sample the Asian pears off the tree in the back yard.

And eat popsicles, of course!

Which one is low maintenance?

This is the way to have twins. One doesn't require any work at all. I keep the one on the right around because it's too easy with just one baby. (ha, ha!)

Actually Braden is a pretty mellow baby. He seems even easier after having the experience of newborn twins. When I think he's not feeding enough or I'm not changing enough diapers, I have to remember I'm comparing those tasks for two babies. The nursing part is considerably easier but slower(for me) in the losing weight department, although I can fit into most of my pre-pregnancy clothes.

Braden hit a whopping 7 pounds as of today. He's been slow to gain weight due to burning more energy nursing than a larger baby, but needs to nurse in order to eat, so it's kind of a Catch-22 situation. So we've tried to get him to just eat and sleep and be a sloth because it's the only time it will be good for him to just lie around and gain weight. Enjoy it while you can kid!

Just Hanging Out

While we are waiting for our backordered furniture to arrive, the twins take advantage of the empty living room to not only make a mess with toys but to do some tot clubbing with Katy Perry.

LOL

I guess Braden got his months confused. Happy one month birthday little guy!

Do Not Call Me a Soccer Mom

In order to take all three children somewhere we had to bid goodbye to the Rav4 and are proud owners of the Swagger Wagon.

http://toyotaswaggerwagon.com/ (go here to see just how cool we are)

We are now that white suburban family that lives down the street. Louis likes the built in Bluetooth and I like pushing a button on the remote and the side and back doors open automatically.

Now to decide which child gets kicked to the way back seat.
Road trip anyone?

Escape Artist

"Did you say something Mom?"
This is Sarah after about 5 minutes in her car seat. She manages to get the shoulder harnesses off EVERY time I put her in that thing. Louis and I both tighten it to the point we think she can't breath and she still can get the straps off her shoulders within minutes. She hasn't figured out the latch between her legs...yet. I have had to pull over so many times to put them back on it's really starting to get annoying, but it's a safety issue. When I see her start to wiggle her way out of them and I tell her to stop she goes right ahead then leans forward, grabs the head rest of the passenger seat in front of her and bops to the music playing while laughing. Her shoulders are narrow but she still shouldn't be able to do this. I've read the owner's manual and we are adjusting and buckling her in correctly. Any one else have a problem with this? Any advice?
