Jacob Allen Grant

This is my nephew Jacob, born November 15th. I got to meet and snuggle with him on Monday.
Isn't he the cutest?
I can't wait to see him again.
Chela, Louis' oldest sister and the little man.

Sydney, the "first" baby who doesn't know what to think of the new addition but has figured out the Boppy makes a great pillow.

Twin Tuesday: Happy Turkey Day!

Swine Flu Shot

Last week the pediatrician's office called and said the kids could come get their H1N1 shot. I had given up on them getting it because of the shortage, so I was very surprised. So off we went Monday morning. We didn't even have to wait in a line.

Browsing the magazines while we wait.
Off we go with the nurse. Piglet came along for support. How appropriate!

It wasn't that bad and they even got their first lollipop.

So good they are almost sinful

The first step is admitting you have a problem.
I'm addicted to these.
Anyone else?

Twin Tuesday: Welcome Jacob

Louis' oldest sister gave birth to a baby boy on Sunday.
Jacob Allen Grant
At over 8 lbs he equals twice of Sarah at birth.
Now Matthew has a boy cousin to play with and Sarah has a girl cousin.

The twinners are modeling the outfits their grandparents brought them from China. Thanks!!

Look at those cheeks!

Yummy!

Last week my friends took me out for a birthday dinner. We went to a yummy Vietnamese place called Fuel. They will make your dish gluten free and it was sooooo delish. Asian food is hard for those of us gluten intolerant because soy sauce has wheat in it and it is used in most dishes, so this was a real treat. I think Blog Man needs to take me there again. Who wants to babysit?
I loved hanging out with my friends. They make me laugh so much. Thanks ladies!

Who wants a cake when you can have coconut cream brulee?

Wicked

Saturday I went up to the City with my friend Bonnie to see Wicked. I think we are the only two of anyone we know who had not seen it yet. Excellent production. We had a lot of fun going out to dinner at First Crush and then stopping by Ruby Skye afterwards where Bon worked while going to grad school. It reminded me that Blog Man and myself need to go out dancing again. Except I won't be wearing the skank fest outfits all the twenty somethings were wearing. Sorry everyone, just trying to keep it classy.

Another Year Older Again

So I interrupted my week of reading about the founding of the World Bank post WWII third world development (for school, NOT by choice) to celebrate my birthday. It was relaxing and low key this year which was just fine with me. We went out to a movie and I'll go out with friends later this week. Here are my favorite presents:

The new Macbook-cute, quick, and shiny
A new recipe book. It's like the Joy of Cooking gluten free style. It has everything. This might mean I need to start cooking more.
