Twin Tuesday: FFundercats

I was all ready to recreate the Battle of Gallipoli in honor of ANZAC Day for today's twin Tuesday. But Blog Man dressed the twinners this morning and insisted on them modeling their FFundercats t-shirts recently sent to us (thanks mucho!). Being the nice wife that I am, I gave in and we are going with social media instead of a history lesson.

Y'all come down now

On Saturday we dressed up in our finest to attend The Mostess' and A's birthday bash . This year she went with a White Trash Throw Down theme. So I made sure to wear my best in gold lamé and Blog Man found his fanciest flannel. He was actually very upset he couldn't grow his mullet in time.
I brought along my Trailer Cookin' cook book just in case anyone wanted a great recipe for fried possum.

Being the classy guests that we are, we brought some wine in a box (the good stuff) for everyone to enjoy.

Kaari and April, the birthday girls. So classy.

Thanks for the great time!

Why I love Costco

Could it be the the big box of organic sweet potatoes to make baby food?
-no
Those giant sized vitamin bottles?
-nope
Could it be that six pack of underwear for $10?
-nope
Could it be those awesome High School Musical themed  beach towels?
- close...but no
How about the box of 200 diapers?
-maybe
Or the 32 can flat of Diet Coke?
-perhaps

But the real reason I like to go to Costco is..........................................................

Double seated shopping carts!!!!!
I think these were made for twins. They solve the problem of what to do with the second baby when there is only one kid seat. So I end up buying stuff I probably don't need and too much in quantity of stuff I do need. But hey, the kids love it and it is less hassle.

Checking out the action instead of looking at mom.

Leaving Las Vegas

Blog Man is coming home today after 5 days in Vegas.

The twins and I have had fun being out and about with the great weather.

But I think I need a nap.

In honor of Earth Day tomorrow the twins are modeling their chorine free,

The Twins Exult In Saturday's Spring Sunshine

On Saturday, the four of us attended a friend's birthday party for his four-year-old daughter. Matthew and Sarah ate up the sun and the hubbub of the celebration. We were very lucky to have caught the eye of Rachel Lea Fox, who has a masterful eye for photography. With her permission, I've sampled a couple highlights. Please do catch her coverage of Saturday from her blog, and see the rest of the photos in her Flickr stream. Amazing.

You can also find Rachel on FriendFeed here. These have got me thinking I need a super duper camera to go with our super duper twins.

More Fun With Bacon

Just when you thought the Bacon suit
was the best use of pork.
And he's nice enough to offer a vegetarian choice.
I'm not sure what the purpose of this is, but this guy, Theo Gray (no relation), must have A LOT of time on his hands.

Twin Tuesday: Feeling Studious

Noah Webster copyrighted his dictionary today in 1828.
I love telling my students who don't know a word to "look it up" in the dictionary. And that dictionary is (GASP!) an actual book on a shelf of the classroom. Yes, I'm mean like that.

Happy Easter

We are getting ready to eat our chocolate bunnies here at the Gray house.
Have a great, sugar filled Easter!

Happy Birthday Louis!

Not only is today the anniversary of Hank Aaron beating Babe Ruth's home run record, but it's the anniversary of the birth of my husband.

Louis,
When we first got married, one of your relatives told me they were so glad you found someone that would put up with your idiosyncrasies. (????) If your idiosyncrasies mean being an awesome husband and father, then I'll put up with that any day.
Why I love you:
1. You are very smart and a great writer.
2. You love your kids more than anything.
3. You love to play with your kids and miss them when you are at work.
4. You have a great sense of humor and always make me laugh.
5. You think life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.
6. You buy me presents for no reason.
7. You don't worry or get stressed about things.
8. You have integrity.
9. You always try to be a great husband.
10. You play a mean game of cribbage.
11. You never complained about doing baby duty when I had a 30 page research paper to write.
12. You buy me gummi worms when you go to the store.
13. You don't mind getting up with a baby at night because that means you get to  spend more time with them.
14. You empty the dishwasher without being asked, most of the time.
15. You don't consider watching the twins by yourself as "baby sitting" but actually "parenting".
16. You are a Mac person.
17. You love the A's (and not the Giants).
18. You always talk me into watching a show I end up liking.
19. You love your blogging and the people you've met.
20. You make me feel lucky to have found you!

Shower

Blog Man and I are going to be an aunt and uncle come May. His youngest brother and wife are pregnant and expecting a girl. On Sunday I headed up to Paradise with my mother-in-law to attend the shower to welcome baby Sophia.

All the Gray Women
No, Malinda has not become a mother. She's holding a friend's baby.

The shower was at Shayna's (my SIL) mother's gourmet chocolate store. Needless to say, I had a sugar buzz the rest of the day.

No word from Sophie's captors. Matthew distraught.

Where's my giraffe?!!!!

Matthew and Sarah's Teething Giraffe Being Held Hostage in Extortion Play

Our Poor Sophie Has Been Kidnapped!

Oh no! Poor Sophie! She is French (http://www.kangarooboo.com/product/details/212-Vulli-Sophie-the-Giraffe) so maybe you could talk to her in her native tongue? Is she tied up and blindfolded? Or getting chewed on?

What should we do? We're very worried. Any advice?

Yearly Check Up

The best thing about getting my yearly physical today?
The nurse forgot to weigh me and who am I to remind him? I mean, he might lose his concentration while taking my blood pressure or something. And the lab tech managed to draw blood without me feeling a thing. I came home and told Blog Man that I'm expected to live.
